Brad Hunt - Director of Fibre Operations

Brad comes from a successful background in the electrical and telecommunication construction industry, holding over 20 years of experience working hands on in the field and in the corporate environment. Previously Fibre Operations Manager for Vocus Communications, Brad was instrumental in the construction of the carrier fibre network between 2012-2019, including two years in the Vocus Wholesale Sales team.

Brad brings deep industry experience and a hands-on, results-driven approach to Nexthop’s operations and network delivery. With a trade background in electrical and telecommunications and extensive expertise in dark fibre, he has spent his career at the intersection of technical execution and project leadership.

Before joining Nexthop, Brad played a pivotal role in the growth of the Vocus fibre network—helping expand it from just 56km to the nationwide infrastructure it is today. His “full 360” project management mindset ensures every build, deployment, and customer outcome is delivered with precision and accountability.

He has undertaken extensive training across leadership, fibre testing and commissioning, telecommunications, and safety, including qualifications from the Australian Institute of Management and certifications in fibre optics, cabling, WHS, and electrical principles.
