About James
James has over 25 years’ experience in IT sales, covering both sales and presales technical/consulting roles. These roles have been within both established and startup organisations across a variety of IT sectors including network integrators and vendors, managed hosting providers, international and domestic telecommunication carriers and NBNco. With a proven track record in sales and revenue growth, James is a valuable asset to the Nexthop team. James started with Nexthop in September 2021.
James brings a rare blend of technical depth and commercial insight to Nexthop. His career spans a diverse range of technology environments—including network integration, vendor-side engineering, application service providers (before “cloud” became a household term), hosting and managed services, and telecommunications.
This breadth of experience enables James to engage confidently with customers at every level of an organisation—from technical teams to executive leadership. He is skilled at uncovering business needs, shaping meaningful solutions, and building long-term, trusted partnerships.
James is also a CCIE (#2183), bringing elite technical expertise to his role. His ability to combine deep networking knowledge with practical commercial strategy makes him a powerful advocate for partners looking to navigate complex technology landscapes.
